In January 2005, after moving to Goodyear from San Diego area, we were desperately seeking a suitable facility fro my husband's step-mother who was recovering from surgery for a broken hip and eight years into Alzheimer's with absolutely no short-term memory.  A chance recommendation from another facility 35 miles away led us to Sims Family Home.  What a blessing!  We found a clean, well-run home with space available to care for Bettie.  Tammy and her staff were able to recommend a doctor to us, deal with all Bettie's physical and psychological problems, manage a grocery bag of medications, and keep in touch with us regarding any of her needs.  It is now ten years that we have had responsibility for Bettie and Sims Family Home has been the best fit that we have found for her.  We have taken all of Bettie's visiting friends and relatives to see her at Sims, including our daughter's minister, and they all comment on how lucky we are to have found such a great place for her.  Sims staff has always been caring, efficient, and knowledgeable; turnover of guest residents is practically nil; and Eric and Tammy Sims are welcoming any time of the day that we choose to visit.  When a chance comes up, I always tell others about this wonderful home that we were fortunate enough to find.
